Cleaning Instructions (Model A)

The MDC Intelligent Stirrups® are a piece of machinery working in a dirty environment. Once a year or as needed, a non greasy, spray lubricant should be applied to the rotating top and exposed screw and then wiped completely dry. The two outside set screws can be removed and the interior of the stirrup can be cleaned as well. The set screws can then be replaced, however if they are over tightened, the mechanism will not turn. One drop of blue, medium strength Loctite adhesive will insure their secure placement. Users should check their stirrups regularly and keep them clean and free of debris to guarantee proper wear and movement.

Cleaning Instructions (Model B)

The MDC Intelligent Stirrups® are a piece of machinery working in a dirty environment. Once a year or as needed, a non greasy, spray lubricant should be applied to the rotating top and exposed screw and then wiped completely dry. The interior of the stirrup can be further cleaned by applying the spray lubricant through the two access holes located under the mechanism housing. Users should check their stirrups regularly and keep them clean and free of debris to guarantee proper wear and movement.
